Invite Mr. Dan the Rock Man to visit and amaze your students with his one-of-a-kind, captivating hands-on rock classes! A “field-trip” that comes to you! Mr. Dan brings tables full of impressive rock, mineral, crystal, and fossil samples students get to handle and examine. Engaging, memorable, and fun learning.  These hands-on experiential learning sessions go beyond students exploring the genuine samples (very cool learning fun in itself, an opportunity many kids don’t have), and pushes them to reflect, think, and discuss their ideas about the how, why and significance of what they observed.

With more than ten years of experience – these are tried and true events your students will love! Many Georgia Performance Standards and Gwinnett County AKS topics are covered and also include additional concepts that will fascinate and absolutely impress your students!

Mr. Dan the Rock Man provides “in-school” field trip presentations completely focused on learning time for the students – no permission slips, no bus transportation costs or time, no off-site lunch arrangements, no chaperones!  Mr. Dan Rocks – and brings it to you!

3rd Grade groups often schedule both the Rocks/Minerals course and the Fossils course to dovetail and complement those two units in Earth Science during the school year. Students are always excited about a second visit!
